Hello,

My name is Officer Bennett and I have worked at CCSO for one year. I have been a floor officer for the entire time. Before CCSO, I worked a few jobs from fast food to hospital security. Born and raised in Great Falls, I attended Montana State in Bozeman where I received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a Criminology concentration and a minor in Psychology. After graduation, I moved back to Great Falls with my family. The best part of my job is the comradery between other officers. It makes the good days great and the bad days better. My goal in Law Enforcement is to move to patrol. I believe working at the Detention Center has provided me with valuable experience before hitting the streets. I was inspired to join law enforcement by my grandfather. He was an officer with GFPD from 1960- 1980. He was someone who I will always look up to. He set a good example for me, and I want to make him proud. He treated everyone with the respect that they deserve and was recognized for his service as Officer of the year in 1971. Advice I would give to someone looking at a career in LE/Corrections is have a strong work ethic and be willing to get outside of your comfort zone. This job exposes you to a lot, but with the right mind set you can tackle anything you may come across.

Outside of work I enjoy being in the outdoors which Cascade County is great for! I also serve in the Army National Guard. My wife and I have been married for almost 4 years. We have a very energetic 3-year-old who keeps us on our toes. We also just brought home a German Shepherd puppy which is exciting.
