Census Bureau: 76.2 percent of people in Harlem were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 820 citizens living in Harlem in 2019, 625 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 336 of those people were female and 289 were male.

An agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System, the Census Bureau is responsible for compiling statistical facts about the American people, places and economy. Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2020 will be released later this year.

Great Falls Fire Rescue contained an early morning residential fire on Cherry Drive on May 31. The occupant evacuated safely and received treatment for smoke inhalation. The cause remains under investigation.
