GREAT FALLS, Montana – High use at the Pacific Steel & Recycling Trailside Dog Park has caused considerable turf damage to the park. Starting Wednesday, May 31 through June 26, the dog park will be closed to the public for turf repair.

During the closure, the park will be fertilized, overseeded, and irrigated.  Allow approximately four weeks for the turf to rejuvenate and recover.  The park is tentatively set to reopen on Monday, June 26.

Since the park opened in July 2009, it has become one of the City’s most popular destinations for dog owners.

The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during the closure. For questions regarding the repair project, contact Kevin Vining, Parks Manager at 771-1265.
