Great Falls neighborhood councils announce January meetings focused on local issues

Neighborhood Councils in Great Falls will hold meetings from January 12 to 15, 2026, addressing a range of local topics and governance matters.

Neighborhood Council #7 is scheduled to meet on Monday, January 12, at 7:00 pm in the Civic Center Gibson Room. The agenda includes the election of council officers, bylaw review and updates, Neighborhood Watch reports, committee updates, and discussion of neighborhood concerns. On Tuesday, January 13, Neighborhood Council #1 will hold a work session at 6:00 pm in the Meadowlark School Library. Items for discussion include a meet-and-greet with council members, ideas for community engagement, and consideration of changing the meeting location. The regular monthly meeting for NC#1 follows at 7:00 pm at the same location. The agenda covers public safety issues such as speeding and stop sign violations involving the Great Falls Police Department (GFPD) and Cascade County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), jaywalking near Meadowlark School by parents and students, parking of vehicles on public streets, traffic signals at Park Garden/Fox Farm Road, use of city park land for vehicle sales advertising, and commercial advertising on utility poles or city property.

The meeting will also allow public comment on moving the meeting location. Sandra Guynn, Chair of the Council of Council, will provide a report. Neighborhood Council #2 meets Wednesday, January 14, at 5:30 pm in the West Elementary Library. The agenda includes reviewing council elections for Secretary, Chair, and Vice-Chair; bylaw review; updates on its Facebook page; Neighborhood Watch discussions; and neighborhood concerns.
