Residents of Great Falls will have access to free downtown parking during the holiday season, according to a statement from city officials. The initiative begins on Friday, December 12 and continues through Sunday, December 28.

The City of Great Falls announced that free parking will be available at all on-street metered and kiosk locations within the downtown area for this period. However, the city clarified that the two-hour limit for these spaces will still be enforced. The offer does not extend to parking garages or parking lots.

City officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of this opportunity by shopping locally and supporting businesses in the downtown district. According to the announcement, there are more than 1,000 metered spaces within walking distance of over a hundred specialty retail shops and restaurants in downtown Great Falls.

For further information about the holiday parking program, residents can contact Lonnie Hill, Deputy Director of Planning & Community Development, at 406-455-8432.
