25.5 percent of the University of Providence students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 25.5 percent of the University of Providence students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

The University of Providence has 876 undergraduate students, of which 66 percent are women and 34 percent are men, and a total student body of 1,038 students. Of these students, 123 men and 142 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at the University of Providence with the most participants are all track combined (54), wrestling (45) and soccer (42).
