U.S. Senator Steve Daines issued a statement on September 28, 2024, regarding the death of Hezbollah commander Hassan Nasrallah.

“Hezbollah commander Hassan Nasrallah’s death is a victory for freedom-loving countries around the world and Israel deserves credit for the courage to deliver the justice he deserved. He was an ally and proxy of the evil Iranian regime whose bloodthirsty reign of terror not only targeted Jews but Americans, Syrians, Lebanese and many others throughout the Middle East,” said Daines.

Daines also highlighted ongoing issues in his statement: “However, there remains much work to be done. Hamas still holds hostages and antisemitism is manifesting itself on our streets and college campuses. The Biden-Harris administration must reaffirm America’s commitment to stand with Israel by supplying the weapons they need to win without bureaucratic delays, demanding return of every hostage and condemning antisemitism at every opportunity instead of pushing a Hamas victory ceasefire.”
