Graduates earn 286 degrees, certificates from the University of Providence

About 50 percent of the 286 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Providence in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Falls conferred 140 bachelor's degrees and 3 certificates in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 140 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 27 bachelor's degrees in "other" business administration, management and operations and 17 master's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 1,038 students for 2017-18, including 876 in undergraduate programs and 162 in graduate programs.
