Matt Rosendale, the Republican candidate for Montana’s U.S. House of Representatives seat and current state auditor, recently received the endorsement of the Montana Stockgrowers Association for his congressional bid.

The endorsement was made based on Rosendale’s demonstrated high level of commitment to agricultural and rural issues most relevant to the organization’s members, according to a post on the organization’s website. The organization views Rosendale as a candidate committed to helping ensure the future of the state’s ranching families.

“I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of the Montana Stockgrowers Association. Montana’s ranchers are the best in the world and are the backbone of our state, and our nation,” Rosendale said in the post. “Members of our agriculture community already face more uncertainty and volatility than most, and if elected, I will fight for Country of Origin Labeling (COOL), fair trade deals and policies that protect future generations of agriculture.”
