U.S. Senator Steve Daines has announced his committee assignments for the 119th Congress. Daines will be serving on four U.S. Senate Committees: Finance, Foreign Relations, Energy and Natural Resources, and Indian Affairs.

Daines expressed his commitment to representing Montana's interests in these roles. "It’s an honor to serve Montanans in the U.S. Senate and I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues on these crucial committees to fight for our Montana way of life," he stated. He emphasized his intent to support President Trump's agenda, which includes efforts to boost American energy production, reduce taxes, expand international markets for Montana's agricultural sector, improve foreign relations, lower costs for families, secure the southern border, and combat drug trafficking.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Finance oversees taxation policies, customs regulations, trade agreements, health programs under the Social Security Act such as Medicare and Medicaid, and social security issues.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations plays a key role in shaping U.S. foreign policy by considering treaties and legislation related to diplomatic nominations and international relations.

Lastly, the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs focuses on addressing challenges faced by American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native communities through legislative proposals covering education, economic development, land management among other areas.
