The City of Great Falls has announced a temporary closure of the River's Edge Trail due to a bank stabilization project along the north bank of the Missouri River. The work, contracted to Olympus Technical Services, is set to occur upstream of the 10th Street Bridge.
The trail closure will affect the area from 4th Street NE to the 10th Street Bridge and is scheduled from January 27th to March 7th, 2025. In addition, part of the West Bank Park access road will be used for material storage by the contractor.
"The public’s patience and consideration during this process is appreciated," said city officials. Barricades will be placed in construction areas for safety. For further details about the project, residents can contact Matt Proud, Senior Engineer, at 406-771-1258.
