The City of Great Falls is calling on residents to participate in a survey concerning Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The city is currently working on its 5-Year Consolidated Plan for the CDBG funds it receives from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This plan requires community input to identify pressing needs and determine how best to address them.

CDBG funding has already contributed to several projects in Great Falls, such as ADA upgrades to streets, sidewalk installation and reconstruction, housing assistance, YWCA childcare scholarships, community resources like playgrounds and pavilions, and support for local nonprofits. "The more feedback the City receives from the public through this survey, the better CDBG funding can address urgent community needs," stated Sylvia Tarman, CDBG Administrator.

Residents are encouraged to take part in the survey to aid in shaping future projects that benefit the community.
