The City of Helena is looking to form a redevelopment agency to oversee two existing and one planned urban renewal districts.
The city’s Community Development Department has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from consulting firms for the effort, according to a notice posted to the city’s website. Proposals must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 in order to be considered.
To be considered, a consulting firm must be “qualified to provide professional services to assist in the creation of a Redevelopment Agency in accordance to provisions of 7-15-4232 MCA,” according to the release.
The department intends to begin evaluating proposals on Monday, Oct. 19, and begin contacting firms to schedule interviews within two days, according to the release. The city expects to have a consulting firm chosen by Thursday, Oct. 29.
The goal is to have a consulting firm chosen and the process begun by Thursday, Nov. 12, according to the release.
