Providence softball games moved again
The University of Providence along with the Cascade Collegiate Conference office announced Wednesay that the Argos softball games against Eastern Oregon this upcoming weekend have been moved, from Hermiston, Oregon to Caldwell, Idaho.
With cold temperatures and frozen fields at the Multi-Sports Complex, the decision was made to move the games for the safety of the players and to allow the games to be played in Oregon, however a storm passed through Hermiston with snow and cold temps so the decision was made to move the games to Caldwell. Providence will remain the home team for the contests which will be played Sunday at 1/3 p.m., and Monday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Argos opened the season at the Bubble Invitational hosted by Minot State, falling to the host Beavers 8-0 and suffering an 8-2 loss to Bemidji State and a 6-5 loss to MSU-Billings.
The games this weekend against Eastern Oregon will open CCC play for Providence. For schedule information on any Argo athletics, visit www.upargos.com.
