The University of Providence has announced the appointment of Dr. Angela Jukkala as the new dean for its School of Health Professions. Dr. Jukkala, who brings over two decades of experience in healthcare, has held various roles in clinical, administrative, and leadership capacities.

“It is profoundly humbling to assume the role of Dean of the School of Health Professions,” stated Dr. Jukkala. “This position represents a remarkable opportunity to shape the future of healthcare education at the University of Providence. I am deeply honored to lead the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals, particularly within the unique context of our region.”
Since joining UP in 2023, Dr. Jukkala has served as Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation Liaison Officer, aiding accreditation reviews for programs within both the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences and School of Health Professions with NWCCU and working with CCNE for UP’s Masters of Science in Nursing program.
“I am thrilled that Dr. Jukkala accepted the challenge to lead and grow the University of Providence’s School of Health Professions,” said Provost Dr. Caroline Goulet. “Angela brings years of expertise in nursing, education and assessment, as well as a deep understanding of healthcare and a vision for the school.”
