The University of Providence's online RN-BSN program has been acknowledged as the leading online RN-BSN program in Montana for the year 2025 by RegisteredNursing.org. This recognition is part of RegisteredNursing.org’s ninth annual ranking. The evaluation considers several key factors such as academic support, licensure preparation, and career advancement opportunities.

“Being chosen number one in Montana reaffirms our commitment to excellence in nursing education and validates the hard work of our faculty and students. Ultimately, this ranking is not just an achievement for UP—it’s a celebration of our students and their success. We are proud to be a trusted choice for nurses seeking career advancement, and this recognition only strengthens our resolve to continue delivering an exceptional, student-centered learning experience,” stated Shelly Granger, the UP Associate Professor of Nursing and RN to BSN and ABSN Program Director.

The online program at the University of Providence is a 12-month course created for currently practicing RNs with an Associate Degree in Nursing. It provides a pathway to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The program is designed to accommodate working nurses, using 100% online learning, asynchronous courses, and a cohort learning model. This prepares RNs for future opportunities in registered nursing and beyond. Enrolled nurses gain skills in leadership, patient-centered care, and administration that are directly applicable to their current nursing practice.

The University of Providence offers various other nursing programs, which can be viewed on their official list.
