U.S. Senator Steve Daines criticized President Biden for his approach to border security in a speech delivered at the weekly Republican Senate Leadership press conference. Daines expressed his concern about the President's decision to roll back policies that had previously kept the southern border secure.

Daines began his remarks by highlighting a recent statement from President Biden, in which he expressed the need for a new emergency authority to shut down the border when overwhelmed. Daines responded to this statement by saying, "Mr. President, come on, man." He reminded the President that one of his first actions upon taking office was to rescind the National Emergency Declaration at the border, thereby halting the construction of the border wall.

The Senator emphasized that these actions have had serious consequences, with the number of individuals crossing the border reaching record levels. Daines pointed out that among these individuals are individuals on the terror watch list and individuals from countries designated as state sponsors of terror.

Daines made it clear that President Biden has the authority to address this issue immediately through executive action. He called on the President to issue an executive order that would address the abuse of parole power by the Department of Homeland Security and expedite renewal and restrict re-entry into the country.

In conclusion, Senator Daines expressed his disappointment with President Biden's approach to border security. He urged the President to take immediate action to address the border crisis and ensure the safety and security of the American people.
