The City of Great Falls' Annual Easter Egg Hunt is set to occur on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Elks Riverside Park. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 10:45 a.m. as the event starts at 11:00 a.m., regardless of the weather.
This community event, which has become a tradition in Great Falls, is made possible through the support of Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and their company, Steel Etc. "The City of Great Falls Park and Recreation would like to thank Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. for making this Easter tradition possible for the eleventh year with their generous financial donation."
Eggs will be hidden throughout the park, filled with candy, coins, and special prizes. Age divisions for participants include groups for ages 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9. Families can also enjoy music played by Jim and Sue Sargent and have the chance to take photos with the Easter Bunny.
In 2013, the event faced potential cancellation due to funding issues, but the Filipowicz family and Steel Etc. stepped in to sponsor all expenses. "It is only because of their generous annual support, that Park and Recreation has been able to continue a long-standing tradition and significantly improve what was an already great event," reads part of their statement reflecting on the community contributions by the Filipowicz family.
Steel Etc. operates as a local business providing new steel products and recycling services, situated at 1408 52nd St. North. Their involvement extends beyond the event, displaying ongoing philanthropic efforts in the community.
Additional gratitude was expressed to members of Ameri Corp for assisting with the preparation of the eggs. "Park and Recreation staff feel very fortunate to have such remarkable partners and are proud to host a fabulous Easter Egg Hunt that is enjoyable for the entire family."
