U.S. Senator Steve Daines voted in favor of the Continuing Resolution to maintain government funding until March 14, 2025.

Daines expressed his initial opposition to the lengthy bill, stating, "I was firmly opposed to the over 1,500-page monstrosity before President Trump stepped in to eliminate egregious provisions and cut over 1,300 pages, including stopping a pay raise for Congress."

He highlighted key outcomes achieved with the assistance of President Trump: "With President Trump’s help, we ensured that our troops get paid over the holidays, secured a year-long Farm Bill extension to provide certainty for Montana farmers and ranchers, and provided critical funding to repair the St. Mary’s siphons."
