U.S. Senator Steve Daines announced that his team assisted Montanans in reclaiming nearly $5 million from the federal government in 2024, closing hundreds of cases in the process.

"Addressing the needs of Montanans is one of the greatest honors of my life and one of the reasons I ran for office. I’m proud of our dedicated team, whose commitment to constituents has paid off quite literally. We’ll always put Montanans first and fight for our great state," said Daines.

In total, Daines' office recovered $4,983,420 from federal agencies to return to Montanans. Over 90 percent of this amount was retrieved from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Apart from financial recoveries, Daines' office managed nearly 1,000 casework messages from constituents and concluded 534 cases. Almost a quarter of these were related to veterans. Additionally, his staff participated in over 2,000 meetings and events across Montana on behalf of Senator Daines during 2024.
