The City of Great Falls in Montana is set to commence an Elevator Modernization project at the Civic Center on March 10, 2025. The project will require the elevator to be out of service until April 21, 2025.

The initiative is financed by the State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act (SLIPA). It aims to enhance the safety and functionality of the elevator while also improving ADA access to both the basement and second floor of the Civic Center. The current main host system of the elevator has not seen updates since 1980, resulting in frequent breakdowns and service interruptions.

Residents are thanked for their understanding during this temporary disruption in elevator operations.
