U.S. Senator Steve Daines recently participated in a live interview with Fox News' Harris Faulkner, discussing several key issues, including President Trump's actions against Venezuelan gangs and Houthi terrorists. Daines also shared details about his upcoming trip to China, focusing on the fentanyl crisis and trade opportunities for Montana producers.

During the interview, Daines emphasized the impact of President Trump's leadership in addressing gang violence in Montana. "Thank God for President Trump’s leadership in getting these guys off the street and deported out of this country," he said, referring to six TDA gang members arrested by ICE in Bozeman.

Faulkner highlighted concerns about Biden administration policies that delayed action against these individuals. In response, Daines stated, "Once President Trump was elected, they’re leaning in and not afraid to deal with this."

Daines praised Trump's approach towards Houthi terrorists as well: "All I’ve got to say here is thank God for President Trump and his moral clarity." He acknowledged the support from other leaders like Marco Rubio and Mike Waltz.

On terrorism more broadly, Daines asserted: "There’s only one way to deal with terrorism. You don’t negotiate; you kill them."

Looking ahead to his visit to China, Daines aims to address the flow of fentanyl into the U.S., noting its origins from Chinese-supplied chemicals used by Mexican cartels. He stressed the importance of China's role: "They can do a whole lot more to shut down the flow of these chemicals."

Daines also plans discussions on reducing America's trade deficit with China while expanding market access for American products. Highlighting potential benefits for various sectors such as aviation and agriculture, he said: "We could sell a whole lot more into China... We need better access to those markets."
