U.S. Senator Steve Daines issued a statement today regarding Hezbollah’s recent attack on Israel.

“I condemn Hezbollah’s latest attack on Israel over the weekend and urge President Biden and Vice President Harris to do the same. Since October 8, Hezbollah has fired more than 6,000 rockets and missiles at Israel. Make no mistake: Hezbollah, like Hamas, is an Iranian proxy whose goal is total destruction of America’s biggest ally in the Middle East."

Daines emphasized the need for decisive action from U.S. leadership. “Now is the time for moral clarity, not criticizing Israel’s prosecution of its self-defense in Gaza or calling for a two-state solution as Vice President Harris did last week. The best way the United States can help Israel and prevent wider war in the Middle East is to send Israel the aid it needs immediately, enforce oil sanctions on Iran and rally our allies to Israel’s side.”
